Which trading zone is Numurkah in?
Most Numurkah irrigators hold Zone 6 (Victorian Murray Above the Barmah Choke) water, as the district is supplied off the Murray. Some holdings are Goulburn-system (Zone 1A) instead. Integra trades both and confirms the correct zone for every trade.
Can I trade water between the Murray and Goulburn systems?
Sometimes, but it is limited. Inter-valley transfers (IVT) between the Goulburn and the Victorian Murray are capped and affected by the Barmah Choke. When the IVT account is full, water can’t move between the systems. We monitor these windows and advise Numurkah clients on timing.
